Make life an adventure not simply a destination

Let's face it, we all live life but do you consider your life an adventure or do you believe that you are just existing from day to day trying to carve out your space as best you can? I have always thought that life was an adventure and

for me, that is exactly how it has played out. By adventure, I do not necessarily mean that you need to go on a safari to Africa or ride camels in the sands of Egypt past the Grand Pyramid or even take a World Cruise, even though all three of these qualify as an adventure. What I am speaking to is your attitude and your perception of how you want to view your life.

First I think I need to give you a clear definition of the word adventure.' My definition describes my outlook on life and how I choose to live it. I am willing to try something new and different and accept the outcome for what it is, just an experience. I don't have a problem trying a new route to arrive at my destination, explore a new opportunity because it looks interesting and intrigues my curiosity or even setting a goal to travel to a country that I have never been to before and all alone. An adventure can be inspiring,

An adventure is ideally something or some place that broadens your horizons, stimulates your curiosity and causes you to feel alive, uniquely special and most of all freeing for your heart and soul. Life is too short to be caught up in the mundane and boring aspects all the time. We all have those moments but they do not have to define you. It seems to me what should define you is your philosophy of life. What you value and what brings you joy and happiness. We all deserve to have those aspirations and we all can enjoy those feelings whether it is on a grand or lesser scale of life. Obviously your standing within society will dictate the grandness of your adventure yet I have heard of numerous people who have had life altering adventures because they stepped out of their boring box and tried something new and different. Money is not always the driving force attitude of mind, willingness to take a chance, a risk and your pro-active behavior is what you need to make it happen.

If fear of the unknown is an obstacle for you, do what is necessary to rid yourself of those feelings. Fear destroys so I encourage you to move out of that box and break free because when you finally realize that you had nothing to fear, your enthusiasm and adrenalin rush will fill you with feelings that will alter your life and bring a great sense of achievement into it.

Don't just wish your life to be different, make it happen. If you are craving to bring some excitement into your life listen to your heart and start to make some short term and/or long term plans. Within the next three months, set into motion one small thing that will feel adventurous to you. Commit and fulfill it, then you are ready to move on to developing a plan for a longer-term adventure. It is time for you to make your life an adventure Don't you agree?
