Have you told your loved ones that you care?

share your loveLife is precious and too short for many. A dear friend of mine lost her Mother three weeks ago and her Father this week. The passing unexpectedly of someone that you care about sends shock waves throughout your mind, body and spirit. We, too, often forget to say loving and kind words and share loving and heart-felt moments with those we love because we think we have plenty of time to express our feelings. But that may not be necessarily the truth for you or for those you care about, so maybe today is a good day to start thinking about expressing your feelings in a loving and thoughtful way.

I know I would love to have my children remember me more often. Just a simple phone call to say "Hi" I was thinking of you today is wonderful. Letting others know that you care, you appreciate them and even send a prayer their way is beautiful.

We get so preoccupied with our personal and professional lives that we fail to remember those who helped us get to where we are today. Being self-centered can be a source of guilt and remorse later on, so why not give it some thought now before you fall into the trap of regret. Life is too short to experience regrets. Benjamin Franklin said: "Don't put off for tomorrow what you can do today."

Too many of us have hindsight that reminds us of all of the would of's and should of's of life. Is that how you want to live -always looking back over your shoulder. I do not believe it is about procrastination or lack of time but rather about lack of concern and genuine caring. All I know for sure is that when I die, I do not want to express regrets. I prefer to stand tall and smile about all the experiences I had, all the people I tried to benefit and all the love I expressed to others. I am not here to judge others because I certainly do not know their circumstances but on the other hand, I believe it is important for me to express my self and share my feelings without harming or injuring another. When I add my feelings to a conversation, I believe I add richness and value. Sometimes I am valued and appreciated andother times I am ignored and forgotten but that still does not stop me from expressing myself in a positive and caring manner. We all have a purpose and a reason for being, become the master over you life, create a positive mind set, be a sharing and caring person and make sure your motives are healthy and worthy of your attention.

If you have someone who needs your attention, make a point of connecting with him or her and always do it with a loving and open heart. Time passes by quickly and it is our responsibility to make the most of it while we are here.
